One single failure in the massive Olympic Security operation could result in loss of life and unprecedented embarrassment and commercial losses for the Host City, Sponsors and the IOC / Olympic Brand.  

In order to provide a safe and secure Games, security planners need to develop and implement comprehensive security plans for athletes, venues, dignitaries and sponsors, etc. At the same time, these plans need to be aligned and fully integrated with the plans of the Organising Committee and their 70+ departments/functional areas, which includes critical stakeholders such as the IOC, NOCs, Government departments, sponsors, broadcasters, etc.
